Alabama pummeled Michigan State 49-7 on Saturday in the Capital One Bowl with an announced crowd of 61,519 on hand at Citrus Bowl Stadium. The Tide outgained MSU 546-171 in total yards.

N.C. State quarterback Russell Wilson was named most valuable player of the Champs Sports Bowl on Tuesday as the Wolfpack upset No. 22 West Virginia 23-7 at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.



Williams, Washington Lead N.C. State At Champs

Jarvis Williams caught six passes for 77 yards and a touchdown and James Washington rushed for 62 yards on 18 carries in a 23-7 win for N.C. State over West Virginia at the Champs Sports Bowl.

On Dec. 4 UCF defeated SMU 17-7 at Bright House Networks Stadium to claim the C-USA title. The Knights, ranked 24th by NCAA coaches, play Georgia in the Liberty Bowl Dec. 31.

Last week Conference USA awarded Jeff Godfrey its freshman of the year, Bruce Miller its defensive player of the year and George O’Leary its coach of the year following the 2010 football season.



UCF Wins Conference USA Title 17-7 Over SMU

Latavius Murray scored two touchdowns and Nick Cattoi kicked a 29-yard field goal on Saturday afternoon to lead UCF to a 17-7 win over SMU in the Conference USA Championship.

UCF Knights Take Over C-USA East Division Lead

With the top spot in the C-USA East Division up for grabs, UCF jumped at the opportunity to seize the moment Saturday afternoon. The Knights put up 424 yards of offense and were never forced to punt in a 49-35 win.
