Jerry makes a great point when he says the NFL and college football co-exist. But one must remember that college football is sustained by alumni who are devoted to their college for the rest of their life. I remember when indoor football started (I was in Grand Rapids, MI) and it never really appealed to me enough to go. I opted instead to go to U of M games. I’m not saying indoor football won’t last, but I think it’s a tough sell. I’m now in Canada and the CFL struggles many seasons largely due to Canadian interest in the NFL. I don’t agree that indoor football and the NFL are not competing. They are to some extent.
