A former Apopka baseball player won a Cy Young Award, two former Colonial High School football players starred for FAMU, a Winter Park running back scored the game-winner in the opening round of the playoffs and a women’s basketball and volleyball player at UCF come up big.

One week ago UCF senior Erin Campbell became just the fourth Knights volleyball player to ever notch 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career during a 3-1 Conference USA loss at East Carolina. This weekend Campbell and the Knights return to The Venue at UCF with an 8-8 overall mark for tonight’s match against UAB at 7 p.m. and a Sunday afternoon meeting with Memphis at 12 p.m.

UCF senior Andee Youngblood was named Conference USA Setter of the Week last week after dishing out at least 30 assists in each of the team’s four matches at the Radisson-UCF Invitational.
