UCF Knights Take Out USF In Soccer & Hoops

UCF fans were treated to two big wins over rival USF. First, the men’s soccer team eliminated the Bulls from the NCAA Tournament. Then the men’s basketball team went on to score a big win in front of 7,653.

On Thursday night on the campus of the University of Central Florida, rival South Florida sends its men’s soccer team and men’s basketball team to town for big matchups between the Knights and Bulls.

Former UCF goalkeeper Sean Johnson became the first Knight ever selected in the Major League Soccer SuperDraft when the Chicago Fire used the 51st overall pick in the fourth round on him Thursday in Philadelphia.



Former UCF goalkeeper with U.S. World Cup team

The FIFA Under-20 World Cup got underway over the weekend in Suez, Egypt. Along for the ride, and a long way from home, is former UCF goalkeeper Sean Johnson. He’s currently one of three goalkeepers, and 21 players in all, on the U.S. team which lost to Germany, 3-0, earlier in the week and defeated Cameroon, 4-1, on Tuesday in Group C play.
