For the fourth-consecutive time, the UCF basketball team found itself on the wrong side of the scoreboard Saturday night at UCF Arena. The Knights dropped to 14-4 overall and 1-4 in C-USA.

Since entering the New Year on a 13-game winning streak and earning its first-ever spot in the Top 25 rankings the UCF Knights men’s basketball team has fallen on hard times. UCF is 1-3 in C-USA.

The 14-game winning streak for the UCF Knights basketball team ended Saturday night in Houston. UCF fell behind early to the Cougars and never held a lead in the 76-71 loss.

UCF is still unbeaten on the basketball court. On Wednesday the Knights opened Conference USA play with a 65-58 win over Marshall in front of an announced crowd of 9,094 at UCF Arena.

Off to an 11-0 start under a new head coach, the UCF men’s basketball team enters its own holiday tournament this week ranked in both national polls, and one of eight unbeatens in the nation.

The UCF Knights overcame a 12-point lead by Miami on Saturday to pull out an 84-78 win at the Orange Bowl Classic at BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla. Marcus Jordan scored a game-high 23 points.

With Saturday’s 76-59 win over Bethune-Cookman, the Knights remain unbeaten in hoops at 8-0 overall. They’ve already done away with four teams within state leading up to this weekend’s matchup.

On Wednesday, history was made when Marcus Jordan, Keith Clanton and new head coach Donnie Jones led the Knights to a 57-54 win over No. 16 Florida at the new Amway Center in downtown Orlando.

UCF fans were treated to two big wins over rival USF. First, the men’s soccer team eliminated the Bulls from the NCAA Tournament. Then the men’s basketball team went on to score a big win in front of 7,653.
