This weekend several new additions to the local sports community will help professional indoor lacrosse make its debut in Australia during a two-game showcase, while aspiring players and dancers here in Florida prepare for tryouts with the Orlando Titans.

A new professional sports team is coming to town at the start of the New Year. On Jan. 8 the Orlando Titans raise their sticks at Amway Arena against Philadelphia as the National Lacrosse League begins its 24th season of play. Hoping to be there when it all starts is 2009 draft pick (No. 61 overall) Ryan McCafferty out of Boone High School.
