Charity starts at home for Tuskers Jerome Carter

Florida Tuskers safety Jerome Carter never had a football camp to attend when growing up in Lake City, Fla. And that has been a motivating factor for him as each July he hosts a free clinic for underprivileged kids in the small community before training camp.



Florida Tuskers host fan event Tuesday at Ember

The Florida Tuskers of the United Football League are hosting a free fan event this Tuesday at Ember Night Club at 42 West Central Avenue from 6-8 p.m. On hand during the meet and greet with local football fans will be a number of current players.



Florida Tuskers take 12 players in 2010 UFL Draft

There will likely be plenty of roster changes between now and the start of September for the United Football League’s Florida Tuskers. On Wednesday the Tuskers and Coach Jay Gruden added seven defensive players and five more on offense in the 2010 UFL Draft.



Local Lax, Soccer camps and Cheerleading tryouts

The UFL’s Florida Tuskers are looking for a few good women to join this year’s cheerleading squad… NLL MVP Casey Powell of the Orlando Titans is hosting youth lacrosse camps… UCF women’s soccer coach Amanda Cromwell has five camps scheduled over the summer.



UFL Florida Tuskers hosting May and June tryouts

Not long after learning of the 20 protected players on the roster for the United Football League’s Florida Tuskers, the organization announced open tryouts for prospective players interested in trying to catch with the team for the 2010 season.

A UCF football player was named C-USA Defensive Player of the Year, basketball players from University and Winter Park high schools have impressive outings and a couple Florida Tuskers earn postseason awards from the United Football League.



Orlando denied again as Florida Tuskers lose title game

This one must really sting though, huh? Making it all the way to the inaugural United Football League championship game as an undefeated team at 6-0 only to come up short, 20-17, against the hometown Las Vegas Locomotives in overtime.



Tuskers pummel Cal in return for local alumni

Apparently not many people here in Orlando care a whole hell of a lot about the Florida Tuskers. Or even the United Football League for that matter. On Thursday night a former UCF head coach and four former players took a crack at bringing down the hometown team.
