Magic’s Howard Leads East In NBA All-Star Voting

Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard leads the Eastern Conference in votes for the 2011 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles. Howard has the second-most votes behind only Lakers guard Kobe Bryant.

Former Orlando Magic forward Jeff Turner has the Lake Highland Prep boys basketball team out to an impressive start this season. LHP is now 10-4 after a recent runner-up finish at the Great Florida Shootout.



Orlando Magic Host Holiday Basketball Camps

In celebration of the holiday season, the Orlando Magic will host four basketball camps throughout the Central Florida area from Dec. 20-23 and Dec. 27–30. The camps are open to kids ages 7–16

Magic player and poet Adonal Foyle calls it quits

With a total of 13 seasons under his belt, Adonal Foyle announced his retirement from the game earlier this week. Foyle was discovered by two Colgate University professors who brought him to the United States and helped lay the foundation for a career with the Warriors and Magic.



Magic sign Duhon, stumble in Pro Summer League

Looking to add a little depth to its backcourt, the Orlando Magic signed free agent guard Chris Duhon last week while the team’s pro summer league squad finished just 1-4 after Patrick Ewing and the team hosted opposing teams at RDV Sportsplex.

The Orlando Magic added two players to its roster through the 2010 NBA Draft on Thursday night. The Magic took Kentucky center Daniel Orton in the first round with the 29th overall pick and Connecticut forward Stanley Robinson in the second round at No. 59 overall.

It’s too early to tell just how much will change with the Magic entering the 2010-11 season. That was hardly what mattered earlier today though, as the Magic organization took to the streets of Orlando to thank fans for another season of support.



NBA All-Star celebration comes to Orlando in 2012

The most magical week in sports is returning to Orlando for the second time, as the city has been selected to host NBA All-Star 2012 at the new Amway Center. Orlando last hosted the game in 1992 when Magic Johnson was named MVP.
