Rain put a damper on the collegiate schedule this past week. No. 9 Rollins College women’s tennis team defeated No. 11 Florida Southern, while the Magic dropped close games to Atlanta and New York.

Magic center Dwight Howard was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for his efforts between March 21-27. Howard has won the award six times this season and 17 times in his career.

All things considered, the one-game suspension handed down to Dwight Howard could not have come at a better time. If only something new was learned about this Orlando Magic team while playing without him.

For those that normally don’t get the opportunity to watch Dwight Howard on a regular basis, the 2011 All-Star Game was another inimitable showcase for NBA enthusiasts across the world.

LeBron James went for 51 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists on Thursday, helping the Miami Heat take down the Orlando Magic at the Amway Center 104-100. The Magic trailed by 23 before clawing back within three.

Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard was named the starting center (for the fourth time) for the NBA All-Star game on Thursday. The game will be played at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 20.

On Monday afternoon Dwight Howard was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week. By Monday night the Magic had its four-game winning streak snapped in a 103-96 loss to the Pistons.
