Sports fans had little trouble finding something to do with their time on Friday. In action were the Orlando Magic, Florida Tuskers, UCF football and women’s soccer, Rollins men’s soccer, and prep football games.
The men’s and women’s soccer teams at Rollins have been mainstays in the D-II rankings through the last month of the season. With a week remaining both are in the Top-10 and led by local products.

Rollins College swept the top Sunshine State Conference honors for the third time in school history when they were awarded the Mayor’s Cup Trophy for both men’s and women’s sports. The award recognizes the top programs among the conference’s nine schools.

A week ago the women’s basketball team at Rollins College upended No. 14 Tampa after three previous attempts to notch a win against a Division II Top-25 team. The Lady Tars currently sit at No. 2 in the Sunshine State Conference.
