The Oviedo and Winter Springs girls soccer teams were decisive in their Class 6A, District 3 semifinal wins on Wednesday. On Friday night they’ll meet up with the district title, and home field advantage in the region semifinals next week, on the line.

This week Ali Schrader leads Rollins College to a conference soccer title; Lake Mary’s Han Kim dominates the field with a driver and putter; running backs from Apopka and Bishop Moore led their football teams to district titles; and a former Edgewater and UCF alum has a big afternoon in Jacksonville.

Last week the golf teams at Lake Mary swept through the Class 2A state tournament as both the boys and girls high school squads came away with team titles in Marion County while the Class 1A finals featured solid finishes from Trinity Prep and Lake Highland Prep.
