Lake Highland came up on the wrong end of a shootout Friday as the Class 3A boys soccer state title game went to penalty kicks at the University of Tampa’s Pepin Stadium. LHP lost 9-8.
Former Orlando Magic forward Jeff Turner has the Lake Highland Prep boys basketball team out to an impressive start this season. LHP is now 10-4 after a recent runner-up finish at the Great Florida Shootout.
The 30th Annual Great Florida Shootout will be held Dec. 27-30 at Osceola Heritage Park’s Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee. The four-day tournament features 16 teams from across the nation.
