UCF’s Jermaine Taylor still finding his way in NBA

Former UCF basketball star Jermaine Taylor is still getting acclimated to the NBA in his first season with the Houston Rockets.

Jermaine TaylorDuring his regular season return to Orlando last week, as the Rockets visited the Orlando Magic at Amway Arena, he spoke about the adjustments a standout college basketball player must make and the learning experiences that come with competing at the next level.

Among those in the stands to welcome Taylor back to town was UCF Coach Kirk Speraw, who Taylor credits for getting him ready to make such a jump to the National Basketball Association.

Despite seeing limited action thus far (in just 10 of 30 games) the former Knight continues to study the game and has turned to teammates in order to improve as a rookie.

In less than five minutes of work per outing, Taylor has sank 32-percent of his shots on 6-of-19 attempts for 17 points, pulled down four rebounds, and dished out two assists at guard for the Rockets.
